Digital Guardian opens 1st India centre in Hyderabad

Digital Guardian, a Massachusetts (US) headquartered data protection platform to stop data theft, today announced the launch of its operations in Hyderabad.
The centre here, which is Digital Guardian's first in India and 7th globally, would be an integral part of the company's global development centres and would focus on enhancing existing products, it said in a statement.
As an extension arm to the core engineering department, the India centre would focus on enterprise product development, along with software-security and systems-management innovation.
"Overall, the India centre will be a driver for revenue while providing a source of optimised engineering and product development", the statement added.

Digital Guardian currently serves corporations like DuPont and GE in India.
The company, which currently has over 350 employees globally, aims to hire 150 employees in Hyderabad over the next 18-24 months to sustain its growth rate and accelerate new innovation areas, it was stated.
