Digital Nerve Centre Lab to be set up to help cancer patients

The Kerala Government today signed a MOU with Tata Trusts and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) to set up a Digital Nerve Centre lab here.
The MOU was signed in the presence of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
The lab is being set up at the TCS campus at Technopark here.
Health Department Additional Chief Secretary Rajeev Sadanandan, TCS Vice President (Healthcare) Girish Krishnamurthy, HSD Srinvas (Tata Trust) signed the MOU.
The Chief Minister said the lab is being set up after his discussions with Tata Group Chairman N Chandrasekar. Besides the Regional Cancer Centre (RCC) here, patients of country's three other cancer centres Tata Memorial Hospital at Mumbai, Tata Medical Centre, Kolkata and Adayar Cancer Institute Chennai will be benefited, a government press release said.
Services of over 40 doctors will be made available at the lab. The services offered to RCC will free of cost and Tata Trust would bear the expenses, the release said.
The government was also planning to bring the state's other major hospitals under the umbrella of digital nerve centre lab after evaluating the benefits received by RCC.
