Since the MP Chief Minister himself was out of Bhopal, his staffers were handed over the notice asking Singh to appear at the office of City Superintendent of Police (CSP), Jehangirabad to record his statement on September 30 in connection with the alleged recruitment scam, police official Saleem Khan told PTI today.
In February this year, the police had booked All Indian Congress Committee (AICC) general secretary Digvijay Singh, former MP assembly speaker Sriniwas Tiwari and others under different sections of the Indian Penal Code, including forgery, conspiracy, cheating, misuse of office and other sections of the Prevention of Corruption Act, after a complaint lodged by the MP Assembly secretariat.
