After a Cabinet meeting, perhaps the last before the November assembly polls, she made a series of announcements including government's decision to slash charges for sewer development by residents of nearly 300 unauthorised colonies.
The unauthorised colonies are considered traditional votebanks of Congress.
According to the Cabinet decision, the plot holders up to 100 square yards would be charged Rs 5000 for sewer connection instead of existing rate of Rs 41,000.
Education Minister A K Walia said government has decided to recommend to the Centre to provide 90 per cent reservation to students from the city for admission in 12 colleges funded by it, a move seen as an effort to woo the youngsters.

He said Delhi government provides 100 per cent funding to the 12 colleges where it plans to reserve 90 per cent seats for students from Delhi.
Dikshit announced that Delhi government has increased the minimum wages for the skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled and the new rates have come into effect from today.
