The footprints were found when Xing Lida, a PhD student with China University of Geosciences, was conducting a field study in the city of Nanxiong in Guangdong Province.
The footprints are a three-toed shape with claw marks. Each footprint is symmetrical with its length slightly longer than the width, according to Xing.
The diameters of the footprints range from 10 to 60 cm and the depths measure from 2 to 8 cm, Xing said.
Hadrosaurs are known as duck-billed dinosaurs due to the similarity of their heads to that of modern ducks. They lived in the late Cretaceous period, about 70 million to 80 million years ago.
Their footprints were mainly found in North America and Mongolia.
The latest finding is expected to help with the research on the evolution and migration of Hadrosaurs.
