"The document (report) will be updated and further modified by the IPR think tank on the basis of comments received from the stakeholders," an official statement said.
The think tank submitted its first draft of the policy on December 19.
"All stakeholders are requested to send their comments and suggestions to the first Draft of the National IPR Policy to ipr@nic.In on or before 30th January, 2015," said the statement.
The draft seeks to encourage innovation by providing tax incentives and modifying intellectual property rights.
The draft has enlisted six objectives of the policy which includes patent awareness and promotion; creation of IP; legal and legislative framework and commercialisation of patents.
To create public awareness about the economic and social benefits of patents for accelerating development and job creation, it has suggested to launch a nation-wide programme.
