Dirba Nagar Panchayat President's husband shot dead

Harpal Singh Chatha husband of Dirba Nagar Panchayat President Parminder Kaur Dhindsa was shot dead today after verbal duel between warring factions of Dirba Ahrtiya Association.
The meeting of Arhtiya Association at Dirba took an ugly turn when ongoing meeting of rival faction of the association for no-confidence motion against president of the association Sanjay Bansal elected about a month back entered into verbal duel with Darshan Singh Ghuman former president of Dirba Nagar Panchayat and an Arhtiya.
SAD leader and Dirba Kabaddi promoter Karan Ghuman also entered into altercation with Darshan and Chatha tried to cool down their tempers by intervening.

The supporters of Darshan were infuriated and fired upon Chatha. The deceased was rushed to a private nursing home where he was declared brought dead.
The SSP Harcharan Singh Bhullar rushed to the spot where FIR was lodged responding to the statement of Association President Sanjay Bansal.
Those booked for murder include Darshan Singh Ghuman, Makhan Singh, Rajinder Singh, Avtar Singh Tari, Jarnail Singh, Gurkirat Singh, Bhoop Singh Fauji, Gurtej Singh Teja.
SSP said that the hunt of accused have been launched besides manute investigations.
