Director arrested from shooting venue

In a deft move that could rival the finale of suspense thrillers, a debut director was arrested at a shooting location here in connection with a murder case.
A police team led by a Circle Inspector, clad in civilian clothes, apprehended Sangeeth Louis while he was directing his first movie at the sylvan settings at Kundara yesterday.
The law enforcers sneaked into the location and watched the shooting for a while without giving any clue of their identity to either the film crew or the crowd that had gathered there.
Sangeeth was wanted in connection with the death of one Deepu who died after being beaten up allegedly by a group, police said.

A case was registered against him and three others based on the post-mortem report in the case last year. Two of the accused have already been arrested one is still at large.
However, Sangeeth had disappeared from the area since then but emerged recently in the garb of a film director.
The police team had gone to the location on being tipped-off by some local people who grew suspicious of the true identity of the director.
Though the announced star cast for the film includes national award winning actor Suraj Venjaramoodu and some other known actors, no major artiste was present at the time of his arrest.
