'Dirty Dancing' remake starring Abigail Breslin in works

Hit romantic drama of 1987, "Dirty Dancing" is getting a remake with actress Abigail Breslin playing the lead.
The original film featured Jennifer Grey as'Baby' and Patrick Swayze as Johnny Castle.
Eleanor Bergstein, who also wrote the screenplay for the original movie, will serve as the executive producer along with Allison Shearmur, reported Entertainment Weekly.
Jessica Sharzer will write the adaptation with Wayne Blair attached to direct the three-hour musical version.
Dirty Dancing will be produced by Lionsgate TV.
