They call themselves the new-age healers who offer enthusiasts a change to learn the aesthetic art of Disc Jockeying at tailor made retreats in exotic islands like Ibiza and Bali.
Now the group of six, who call themselves "The DJ Dispensary" have landed in India to offer their retreat classes at the Vivanta by Taj.
Their "Sound Lab" school offers aspiring DJs get into a fun classroom mode and experience a brand new spin on the art of DJing.
"DJ as an entity has never been more in the spotlight, it has never been more popular. So with the dispensing of it, we can find more equality in the overall DJs out there. Everyone wants to be a DJ or everyone is a DJ," says Matty Wainwright, who heads DJ Dispensary,
"I wanted to give people who never had the right equipment or seen DJs in bars and wondered what it is all about, to give people a really easy way into their first time about actually having a go at DJing. No pressure, just an act of fun like an amateur, without being too serious. That's what we do," he adds.
The Sound Lab is a 3 day-workshop where interested people get a crash course in disk jockeying and keeping it simple by not teaching any a particular genre.
