Disney confirms 'Enchanted 2', hires new writers

"Enchanted 2" is back on track by securing two writers to pen the script drafted by Jessie Nelson.
J David Stern and David N Weiss ("The Smurfs" movies, "Shrek 2" and "The Rugrats Movie") are booked to write a follow-up for the 2007 musical fantasy, reported Ace Showbiz.
Anne Fletcher ("The Proposal") is confirmed to sit behind the lens for the sequel.
The first film followed Princess Gisele (Amy Adams) who is exiled from her fairytale world of Andalasia and ends up in the modern-day New York City.
James Marsden played Edward, her initial Prince Charming, while Patrick Dempsey portrayed her true love in the real world of Earth.

Directed by Kevin Lima, the Disney movie which was also supported by Idina Menzel and Susan Sarandon grossed over USD 340 million worldwide.
The main actors are expected to return for the reboot.
