The fight between the teams took an ugly turn last evening when the players along with other members of their respective communities started firing and throwing stones at each other at the main Mantola road here, SSP S C Dubey said.
The situation has been brought under control but an uneasy calm prevails in Mantola area, he added.
"Cases have been registered against over 30 persons but no arrest has been made so far," police officials said, adding that additional security personnel have been deployed in the area as a precautionary measure.
