District Industries Centre GM held on graft charge

The vigilance sleuths today arrested Ramchandra Singh, the General Manager of District Industries Centre at Bhagalpur on graft charge, an official release said.
Acting on a complaint, the vigilance sleuths led by the Deputy Superintendent of Police Munna Prasad laid a trap and caught the official red-handed while receiving Rs 5000 as bribe at his office from Shatrughan Thakur, a native of Bhimpur village in Supaul district, the release said.
The Bhagalpur District Industries Centre GM had demanded the bribe from the complainant for releasing arrear of his salary, it said.
The tainted official was being brought to the state capital for interrogation and later he would be produced before a designated vigilance court for judicial remand, the release said.
