"We are ready to face any police action to disrupt our meeting," Left Front chairman Biman Bose said today.
Leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly Suryakanta Mishra criticised the police administration for not granting permission to the rally on the pretext of law and order.
"We will hold the meeting tomorrow at the decided venue," Mishra stressed.
District Left Front committee convener Dilip Sen said that the local police station had denied permission to the rally on grounds of its potential to cause 'disturbance' and conveyed the decision only on October six.
Sen said that the committee had already appealed to state's chief secretary to consider and allow permission to hold the meeting tomorrow.
"We condemn the anti-democratic attitude of the police and state administration and we are firm on holding our meeting tomorrow at the venue we have already announced," he said.
