Divergent trend in copra prices

Select copra prices displayed a mixed trend in an otherwise listless spices market here today.
Copra edible rallied further on the back of consistent demand from upcountry buyers and millers against limited arrivals from key producing regions.
On the other hand, copra Kozhikode dropped owing to reduced demand from stockists and retail consumers after a strong recent rally.
Meanwhile, copra office Alapuzha and copra Rajapur Mumbai held steady in the absence of necessary buying support.
Copra edible Mumbail rose by Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 10,000 from its overnight closing level of Rs 9,900.
However, copra office Kozhikode shed Rs 100 per quintal to Rs 8,900 as compared to Rs 9,000 previously.
