Echoing India Inc's views, UB Group chairman Vijay Mallya said there should be no "witch-hunt" against industrialists, noting that the Delhi Chief Minister was pursuing "unconventional methods" to attain his objectives.
The reactions came after the Delhi government ordered filing of an FIR against Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily, former Union minister and Congress leader Murli Deora and RIL chief Mukesh Ambani for alleged collusion in the hike in prices of natural gas from KG basin.
"I think I should sympathise with his ignorance. He should know how the government functions, how these things are done ... You should know that I took special interest to ensure that CNG and PNG prices were reduced," Moily said.
Samajwadi Party, which gives outside support to the UPA government, slammed Kejriwal, saying it was all a "drama" to hide inefficiency and attain "political martyrdom".

SP leader Naresh Aggrawal said this is "100 per cent a political witch-hunt."
AICC general secretary Ajay Maken while cautioning against any "probe inspired by political vendetta" at the same time said Congress was "not against any inquiry".
"Congress is not against any probe irrespective of it being any minister or anybody, who had an authority if there is wrong doing. But there be no probe influenced by any political vendetta. The consideration of the probe should not be political," he said.
CPI leader Dasgupta welcomed the Delhi government decision, alleging the gas-pricing issue is once again a case of the government being "hand-in-glove with the top corporate house to give it unfettered profits.
