DJ Pandian resigns as GACL chairman

Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals Ltd (GACL) today said the company's chairman DJ Pandian has resigned.
In a filing to the BSE, the company informed that Pandian, an IAS officer "ceases to be a director and chairman vide resignation".
GACL, promoted by the Gujarat government, is largest producer of caustic soda in the country. Pandian had retired as Chief Secretary of Gujarat government on May 31.
Promoters have 46.28 per cent stake in the company.
