DJB employee found murdered

A Delhi Jal Board (DJB) employee was found murdered in the office of his son in Rohini area of the city today, police said.
Babu Ram Yadav, 48, worked as a section officer in the DJB office in east Delhi's Laxmi Nagar. He had gone to the office of of his elder son Nitin who also worked with the DJB at DDA market in Sector 16 of Rohini where his body was found around 11 AM, a senior police officer.
Yadav's body was found in a pool of blood and his head was hit by a blunt-edged weapon, he said, adding that the footage of a CCTV camera has been accessed to identify the two suspects who were looking for the victim.
Ram had gone to meet his son, Nitin, at his office but he was not there. A colleague of Nitin was there but he went out for for some work and Yadav was left there alone.
Nitin's colleague returned back after half-an-hour and found Yadav lying in a pool of blood. He informed the police who reached the spot. The body was later sent for post mortem.
Police said Nitin, in the past, had an association with some persons running betting racket in Rohini and Mukherji Nagar areas. He was allegedly being threatened by them over some monetary dispute.
A case has been registered in connection with the murder at the KN Katju police station and further investigation is underway, they added.
