The tournament would be held between July 21 and August 15, 2016 at Nehru Maidan in the city, a release here said.
The winners would be awarded trophy and cash prizesand special prizes would be awarded to the best player, best goal keeper and best defender in both boys and girls categories.
The DKDFA was formed to harness talent in the field of football and in continuation of its efforts, a major tournament is being organised even this year to give a platform to the budding youth from the district, the organisers said.
In the last season alone, seven players had represented the state and two players from Yenepoya University had taken part in the Karnataka State Level Football Championships, the release said.
