DM discontinues salary of six officers in Kanpur

District administration here has ordered to discontinue salaries of six officers and make negative entry in the annual confidential report (ACR) of 25 other officers as they allegedly showed laxity in their work.
District Magistrate, Kaushal Raj Sharma, ordered to stop salaries of the General Manager of Jal Kal Kanpur, district Veterinary Officer, district sports officer, General Manager of cooperative committees, Project officer of District Urban Development Agency (DUDA) and Executive Engineer of Irrigation department, an official release said today.
While negative entry would be made in the ACRs of the Social Welfare officer, the Block development officers of Sarsol and Bidhnu, District Basic education officer, District Excise officer, Supervisor of Social Welfare department, Sub-registrar, Excise Inspector, Circle officers of Colonelganj, Bithoor, Kalyanpur and Narwal, the Inspector of Kakadev police station, Police station In-charges of Naubasta and Nawabganj and Joint Secretary of Kanpur Development Authority, it said.

Negative entry would also be made in the ACRs of nine employees in different offices, it said.
The DM ordered the actions on witnessing negligence in redressing the complaints of the people, the release said.
