DM stops registry of plots and land in unauthorised colonies

With the land mafia duping people by selling land in unauthorised colonies, the district magistrate has decided to stop registry of plots and land in such colonies here.
Ghaziabad District Magistrate SVS Ranga Rao passed the order yesterday on the suggestion of Vice Chairman Santosh Yadav of Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
Rao has asked revenue and registry department not to register property in unauthorised colonies in the district.
"The registries of unauthorised land has been stopped on suggestion of GDA vice-chairman and it will remain so till further orders. Land mafias were looting people by selling plots and land to them in these colonies.The order has been passed keeping in mind welfare of people who invest their hard-earned money to buy their dream home," said Rao.

As per GDA officials, there are several unauthorised colonies in Morta, Sikhrod, Siyani, Nagla, Sadar, Madhban, Mahiddudin, Akbarpur-Bahrampur, Tilaknagar, Pipledha, Sunarsi, Mansarovar Park, Nistholi and Tila Sahabajpur among others.
