Raising the issue in Rajya Sabha soon after it met for the day, Tiruchi Siva (DMK) said students in Tamil Nadu are on agitation. "The state of Tamil Nadu is burning," he said.
Government of India, he said, should support the UN resolution condemning war crimes and demanding institution of an independent inquiry.
He asked the government to spell out the stand it will take in Geneva.
V Maitreyan (AIADMK) said students will intensify their agitation after March 22 and the government should strengthen the US resolution by condemning the genocide.
Ranbir Singh Gangua (INLD) raised the issue of MPs and MLAs not being allowed to meet Om Prakash Chautala and his son, who are in jail on being convicted by a court in a teacher recruitment scam in Haryana.
P C Gupta (RJD) supported him saying it is unfortunate that MPs are not allowed to meet their leader.
