"If you ask, is there a government in Tamil Nadu? The answer is no. Is there any Chief Minister in Tamil Nadu? No. If you ask whether the Central government will help? We don't know. Is there any legal provision to get direct help from Centre? The answer is no," he told a public meeting organised by the DMK's women's wing at Padappai near here.
There were parties which has 'Dravida' in their name but without any meaning to it, Karunanidhi said and added, "We all should go together towards a movement which will work for the poor and downtrodden in a democratic country. And only that movement will bring a change in the state. DMK has the power to bring that movement.
