The criteria for allotment of these units is yet to be finalised, Singh said, adding that the flats will be allotted based on applications received from the public.

To another query, he said, state-run NBCC (India) Ltd is also constructing low-cost houses in various cities of India including Gurgaon (Haryana), Khekra (Uttar Pradesh) and Alwar (Rajasthan).

He also said Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has issued 115 notices, including 83 in different sectors in Dwarka, for violations such as addition or alternation in DDA flats beyond the permissible limits.

Replying to a query on corruption in DDA, he said as many as 18 officials have faced charges of corruption in the last three years and current year pertaining to bribery, forgery for providing office documents to private persons and misuse of official position.

The cases against some of the officials are still under investigation/trial, he said, adding that in some cases, CBI has recommended Regular Departmental Action (RDA) and in one case an officer convicted by the court was dismissed from the service.

He also said that these officials are not working in "sensitive" posts.
