Rejecting reports of difference of opinion between them over the arrangement for casting yard for the Kochi Metro, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and Kochi Metro Rail Ltd (KMRL) today said both were committed to creating a world-class metro system for the city.
In a joint statement here, DMRC and KMRL said they were 'extremely concerned' about such reports in a section of the media and clarified that both the organisations were committed to creating a world-class metro system for Kochi city and were working together to fulfil this dream.
As part of executing the Kochi Metro Project some parcels of land are required to establish the casting yard and in finalising it several factors had to be taken into account. KMRL and DMRC are jointly involved in locating suitable places for setting up the yard, it said.
"As the work on the Metro is expected to commence this month, this issue is being seriously looked into by both the organisations in tandem and the same will be sorted out shortly," they said, adding there was no difference of opinion between KMRL and DMRC on it and a joint effort was being made to speed up the process.
