A doctor at a state-run homeopathy institute here was today booked after a three-year-old boy suffered a fracture on his left leg due to his alleged negligent treatment, the police said.

A case was registered against Dr Kiran Kumar under IPC section 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) after the boy's father accused the doctor of twisting his son's legs resulting in fracture in the left leg, they said.

Initially, the boy's father took him to the hospital after he complained of not being able to walk properly and consulted Kumar, police said.

The man claimed that the doctor assured him of giving treatment to his son under physiotherapy but "twisted" his legs, police said.

He then took him to another doctor where it was found that the boy had suffered fracture in the left leg, a police official said, adding, no arrests have been made.
