A criminal case has been registered against a doctor for allegedly endangering the life of a three-year-old boy by administrating a wrong injection for typhoid.
Dr Narayan, director of a clinic located in Azad Nagar colony here, was booked under section 338 of IPC (causing grievous hurt to a patient by a negligent act endangering the patient's life), police said.
In the complaint filed by the patient's mother Nirmala Devi, she has alleged that the doctor had administered an injection to her son Lakshya, who was suffering from typhoid, on April 26 after which his condition got worsened.
The child was then admitted to a private hospital in Gurgaon where the doctors provided treatment to the child and attributed his critical condition to the administration of an "erroneous" injection, she said.
