Militants today shot at and injured a doctor in Pulwama town in south Kashmir, police said.
Two militants, carrying pistol, barged into the clinic of Ghulam Qadir Sofi, a retired Deputy Chief Medical Officer of Pulwama district, and fired at him twice, police said.
Sofi was hit in the left arm and right leg by the bullets, police said, adding the militants fled from the scene after firing, which caused panic in the area.
No militant outfit has claimed responsibility for the attack.
