"Airlifting doctors, health workers and drugs began in remote areas like Tuipuibari and Gobindabari of Dhalai district to combat malaria," Chowdhury told reporters here.
Security forces like the Tripura State Rifles and BSF deployed in the malaria affected areas were also assisting to combat the disease, he said.
All district magistrates were asked to survey their jurisdictions and suggest measures to control the disease.
Chowdhury said that the state government was closely coordinating with the union health ministry on procuring more second generation drugs for control of the disease.
Over 2500 health camps were organised in different parts of the state since the malaria outbreak in the first week of last month.
