A delegation of Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) led by its president Nisar-ul-Hassan called on Governor's Advisor Pervez Dewan here yesterday, an official spokesman said today.
The delegation informed the Advisor that the drug market was unchecked and unregulated and no serious efforts were being made to curb the menace, he said.
The Advisor discussed the implementation of drug policy for ensuring availability of free and quality drugs to poor patients in government hospitals, the spokesman said.
"We have a sizeable population of distressed cancer patients in our state and we are keen to reach out to them with some relief. They should feel that someone is there to share their pain," he said.
