The director was speaking on the sidelines of ASEAN Excellence Summit - Excellence in An Era Of Disruption.

The film was shot in Jagjit's hometown Sri Ganganagar in Rajasthan and Mumbai, where he made a big name for himself through his magical voice.

The film will also feature famous singers, including his wife Chitra Singh.

The director also talked about his another project, "Jhalki", which narrates the story of a nine-year-old girl, who sets out to find her younger brother against the backdrop of child labour in the carpet-weaving factories of India.

Talking about the movie, Siingh said cinema is the best medium to spread awareness about this social malaise.

"Children are close to my heart. Today, one in every seven children is a labourer. They have no idea of childhood because they are in this vicious trap.

"Cinema is the best medium to raise mass awareness about tragedies hitting the innocent children."

"Jhalki" is set against the backdrop of children's rights activist and Nobel laureate, Kailash Satyarthi's Bachpan Bachao Andolan (Save Childhood Movement).

The film stars Boman Irani, who portrays Satyarthi, along with Tannishtha Chatterjee, Divya Dutta and Sanjay Suri.

Aarti Jha plays the title role, while Goraksh Sakpal plays her lost brother Babu.
