"The matter regarding the critical care ambulances was in the court, but now that the stay has been vacated we would look forward to press them into action," Minister of State for Health Shabir Ahmed Khan said while replying to a question in the Upper House here today.
He added that a new 50-bedded hospital at Banihal with an estimated cost of Rs 20.18 crore was under construction and added that a sum of Rs three crore has been released under National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) for the purpose.
The minister also informed that re-modelling of emergency hospital at Batote and Doctors Residential Quarters were built at a cost of Rs 90.82 lakh and Rs 130.50 lakh respectively.
He added that accidental hospital at Khellini, Doda is under construction and the trauma hospital at Thatri, Doda was coming up at an estimated cost of Rs.75 lacs.
Shabir informed that the District hospital Kishtwar stands completed and has been made functional with an estimated cost of Rs. 11.15 crore.
