Dominic Monaghan's stalker arrested

A woman has been arrested for allegedly stalking actor Dominic Monaghan and sending him threatening messages.
The 39-year-old "Lord of the Rings" actor was granted a restraining order against Meredith McLarty in February, 2015 after he filed a request, claiming she bombarded his email inbox and social media accounts with offensive and delusional messages and declared she had been in love with him since 2001.
He said her behaviour was not of a fan but of an obsessed stalker, reported TMZ.
She was ordered to stay 100 yards (91 metres) away from the "Lost" star and to stop contacting him, but she violated the order by continuing to send threatening messages to the star online.

She went on the run earlier this year and a warrant was issued for her arrest.
McLarty is now in custody following an arrest at Los Angeles International Airport last week. She is being held on bonds of USD 100,000 for two cases, which brings the total to USD 200,000.
The 38-year-old is due to appear in court on September 20, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department database.
