Don't believe in conforming to fashion norms: Sona

Besides her earthen, rustic voice, Sona Mohapatra is also known for making a statement with her flamboyant outfits and the singer says she only wears clothes that have a personality of their own.
The "Naina" singer says as a live performer it is very important to choose the correct outfits.
"I am a flamboyant person and I think personality is something you should be proud of. As a live performer I am always very excited by clothes that speak the language of their own," Sona told PTI on the sidelines of Lakme Fashion Week.
The 40-year-old singer says her fashion choices often land her in the worst dressed lists but she isn't bothered by it as she does not belive in conforming to fashion trends.

"For me as someone who goes on stage everyday I want my clothes to have a personality of their own. I mix and match my clothes. Most fashion blogs write me off and they find me very confusing. But I do not want to conform to fashion norms. I want to do my own," she says.
"The world needs more of excitement, personality, a point of view and a voice.
