Congress spokesperson Salman Khurshid said that the killing of security personnel was "extremely painful and a tragic reminder that complacency should not be permitted".
"We will not score points but will expect the government to stand up a little bit and show the grit and determination which we have been only hearing about," he said.
Khurshid further said, "It is sad that... There is a question mark on the security in Jammu and Kashmir. There should be no compromise on the security of security personnel as well as the common man at the altar of self-complacency, self congratulation and political expediency."
Apart from the security personnel, a top LeT commander and seven militants were also killed in the incidents which left two civilians dead.
