"My team has no strength to make the next film (in Bhojpuri). For the last one and a half years, we have been trying to release 'Deswa' in Bihar... But there are some issues with distributors," she said at a press conference at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2012 here.

The 'Oye Lucky Lucky Oye' actress pointed out that there is only one multiplex in the whole of Bihar, the state with a population of 12 crore and that Hindi movies are preferred by distributors over Bhojpuri films.

Incidentally, 'Deswa' is the first Bhojpuri film to be the part of prestigious Indian Panorama section of IFFI this year.

"The Bhojpuri film industry is in shambles. We can make good films but who will help us take them to the theatre," she questioned.

"Only auto-drivers and rickshaw-pullers watch Bhojpuri films in Bihar. People talk Bhojpuri at home but it is not possible for a family to watch a movie in a theatre because of the kind of films being screened."

Neetu said when she is in Mumbai, she comes across vulgar posters of Bhojpuri films.

"When I travel in Mumbai, I turn my face to the other side pretending as if I did not see the poster," she said.

Neetu, however, was all praises for Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar saying that the state was undergoing a change under him.

"The change is happening and we are hopeful that things will be better," she said.
