The prime minister addressed two public rallies in the state but he has left the people disappointed as he did not make any special announcements for the development of the region, he said.
"Himachal Pradesh is known as the abode of Gods and Goddesses and generates fresh air. People here do not want the polluted air from Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand," he said.
Taking a dig at the state's BJP leaders, Singh alleged, "Their claim that 63 National Highways have been sanctioned for the state is false."
The Centre has given its approval for preparing Detailed Project Report (DPR) for only 10 national highways and the funds for preparing it has not been released, he claimed.
"Modi has claimed that people wearing 'hawai chappal' (slippers) can now afford to fly because of the scheme that offers flight tickets at Rs 1,950. However, the actual price of tickets ranges between Rs 5,000 to Rs 19,000," he claimed.
Hitting out at the leader of the Opposition P K Dhumal for his statement that senior Congress leaders will be joining the BJP in the presence of the prime minister, Singh said, "Dhumal has been fooling the public by issuing baseless statements for his political survival.
