"I am concerned with the growing incidents of rapes especially with minor girls, in the country. I am of firm opinion that the issue should be looked into by all concern by keeping aside politics and state-specific element," she said.
The former Chief Minister was talking to reporters after performing puja at the famous Jaam Sanvli Temple here in Chhindwara district on the occasion of 'Hanuman Jayanti'.
Bharti said in order to sensitise police officials on the issue, he had advised Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan to organise a workshop and formulate a special plan to deal with the menace.
The former Union Minister said the Government should provide adequate safety and security to women and ensure they got due respect in the society.

On the visit of Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi to Madhya Pradesh, she said no one can be stopped from coming to the state, but he should first answer questions related to terrorism, inflation and corruption in the country.
