Doordarshan, AIR line up programmes on IFFI

Public broadcasters Doordarshan and All India Radio (AIR) have lined up a number of programmes on the upcoming International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa, an official said.
As part of the film festival, Doordarshan has already started showing blockbuster movies everyday till November 28 on their channel, he said.
Besides, the official said, 25 hours of content will be broadcast during November 13-28, including live broadcast of the opening ceremony.
The ceremony is expected to be attended by a number of celebrities, including Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan.
Doordarshan has also planned a number of programmes like 'Flashback' which will highlight the 48-year legacy of the festival and 'Houseful' which will give a sneak peak at what the audience can watch in the festival.
While 'Dhamaka' will show the happenings in Goa, including which celebrity is watching which film, 'Blockbuster' will take the audience down the memory lane of some of the biggest and best films showcased at the IFFI, he added.

Some of the films which would be broadcast are 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron', 'Kabhie Khushi Kabhi Gam' and 'Mughal-E- Azam'.
AIR will broadcast a curtain raiser on November 19 and a live commentary on the opening and closing ceremonies, the official said, adding a radio report on everyday's proceedings will be broadcast at 10.30 pm from November 21-28.
Besides, hourly updates will be given from 11:15 am to 20:15 pm on the FM Rainbow network, the official said, adding that #IFFIOnAkashvani has also been created to engage people on social media platforms.
