Dove Cameron splits from Ryan McCartan months after engagement

Actress Dove Cameron has broken up with actor fiance Ryan McCartan, six months after their engagement.
McCartan, 23, shocked fans when he revealed on Twitter on that he and the 20-year-old "Descendants" actress have parted ways.
"Dove has decided this relationship isn't what she wants," he tweeted.
"We still love each other very much. Please be sensitive, as this is painful." Later in the day, he returned to the micro-blogging site to thank everyone for their support, writing, "I love you all. Thanks for keeping me up."
Cameron and McCartan met when they were working together on the Disney sitcom "Liv and Maddie". They made their romance public in August 2013. He announced their engagement in April. PTI PSH

While promoting his upcoming project "The Rocky Horror Picture Show Event", Ryan said in an interview last month that he's in no rush to marry his then-fiancee.
"She's so busy. I'm so busy. The last thing we want to do is turn it into another thing on the to-do list, you know what I mean?" he told E! News. "I mean, we're infants - we're children - so we have a lot of time to plan and get it done, and it'll happen when it's supposed to.
