Dr Kulwant Singh appointed founder VC of SGPC

Dr Kulwant Singh Ded today was appointed founder vice chancellor of the new declared Sri Guru Ram Das University of Health Sciences (SGPC) here.
Chancellor and president SGPC Avtar Singh Makkar said the institute's (Sri Guru Ram Das Institute of Medical Sciences and Research) becoming a medical university has opened new horizons for academics and research work.
He said, "Dr Kulwant Singh Ded was selected after much deliberation to lead the university towards achieving its goals."
Expressing gratitude, Ded said cooperation from the team and management would encourage and guide him to perform his duties better.
A Cath lab was inaugurated after the appointment ceremony.

Makkar said the Cath lab has been started to provide subsidized angiography, angioplasty and pacemaker to heart patients.
