Draft electoral rolls for HP panchayat polls published

The copies of draft electoral rolls for the upcoming panchayat polls in Himachal Pradesh have been made public and people can apply for revision if there are any discrepancies in their details, a spokesman of the state EC said here today.
The copies of the draft electoral rolls have been made available in the offices of gram panchayats, panchayat samities and zila parishads, he said.
"The claims and objections could be filed upto October 15 before Block Development Officers who are designated as Revision Officers (RO)," he said.
If someone is not satisfied with the order of RO, he can file appeal before the District Electoral Officer (Panchayat)-cum-Deputy Commissioner within seven days.
