The 30-year-old Canadian rapper dedicated his performance of "Work" to Rihanna, who turned 29 on February 20, during his 'Boy Meets World' tour stop in the capital of Ireland, reported E! Online.
A fan caught the video in which Drake said, "It's somebody's birthday today- somebody I have a lot of love for and a lot of respect for. So, instead of singing 'Happy birthday', though, we just going to do this in Dublin.
Drake also shared a picture on Instagram of him sporting a puffy pink coat similar to the one that RiRi wore at the Paris Fashion Week last fall.
Some fans speculated that Drake paid tribute to the Barbadian songstress.
He previously bought her a giant billboard before she was honored with MTV's Video Vanguard Award at the VMAs last year.
"She's someone I've been in love with since I was 22-years-old. She's one of my best friends in the world. All my adult life, I've looked up to her, even though she's younger than me. She's a living, breathing legend in our industry," Drake told the crowd while presenting the MTV Vanguard honour to Rihanna.
