Hitting back at Congress President Sonia Gandhi over her "false dream" remarks, BJP today said Congress has "befooled" the country by showing "unfulfilled dreams" which now appear as "nightmares" to the people.
"Sonia is attacking BJP but forgetting that it is the same Congress which has shown dreams to the people of the country that have remained unfulfilled and befooled them.
"The dreams shown by Congress now appear as nightmares to the people of India," said BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain.
The reaction was in response to Sonia's comments today that BJP came to power by weaving "false dreams" and people got caught in their "trap".
BJP also attacked Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi for attributing the blame for the party's Lok Sabha poll debacle to the defeat of its "ideology" instead of accepting responsibility himself.
It also hit out at the AK Antony Committee, which was set up to analyse the reasons behind the electoral drubbing, saying it was formulated only to "bail out" the Congress vice president.

Hussain said that Congress is now reacting in "panic" as it urges introspection on why the people did not give it enough seats for it to get the Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition's post.
He said it has become a habit with Congress to attack a government formed with the mandate of the people and lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for working day and night to fulfil the dreams of the people.
Hussain said only those see dreams who can fulfil them and expressed confidence that the dreams shown by the Prime Minister would be fulfilled.
Attacking Rahul, Hussain said he has not accepted the responsibility for Congress's poll debacle but cited the defeat of its ideology to save himself.
"The Antony Committee was formed only to bail Rahul out. That committee also did not say that it was a defeat of (Congress) ideology. By saying it was the defeat of Congress ideology, Rahul has put the whole party in the dock," he said.
