Universal Pictures chairman Donna Langley announced on Thursday, November 10 that production on "The Croods 2," reported by Variety.
The studios hired new writers for the project, brothers Kevin and Dan Hageman in August. However, the problem occurred when the studios announced the film would be pushed back from December 22, 2017 to 2018.
"The Croods" was a big hit and grossed USD 587.2 million worldwide on a budget of USD 135 million. It was directed by Kirk DeMicco and Chris Sanders. The animated flick boasted an A-list voice cast including Nicolas Cage, Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds and Catherine Keener.
