Sagar Rastogi was behind the wheel when he lost control of his car due to dense fog leading to low visibility in the area yesterday night, they said.
The vehicle fell in a pit, killing Rastogi on the spot and injuring his friend, Ambuj, who was sitting next to the driver's seat, they said.
The body has been sent for post-mortem and the injured was admitted to a hospital here, they said.
