Driver of RTO thrashed by two youths

A 48-year-old driver of a Road Transport Officer was beaten up allegedly by two youths here who claimed themselves to be brothers of Samajwadi Party MLA Irfan Solanki, police said today.
Solanki, however, denied any involvement of his brothers in the incident.
According to police, Ram Swaroop Yadav, driver of RTO V K Sonkia, hit the car of the two accused near Medical college bridge here yesterday.
Following this, the duo beat Yadav badly and snatched his mobile phone, police said.
The two youths then called up Sonkia, abused him and claimed themselves to be brothers of SP MLA Irfan Solanki, they said.

A case has been registered against the two youths at Swaroop Nagar police station, Inspector Rajeev Trivedi said, adding, efforts are on to trace the accused duo.
