The incident took place in Outer Delhi's Rohini area on Saturday night when the family had gone to purchase medicine and parked the car outside Bhagwati hospital. The accused Gulshan was arrested yesterday.
Pooja along with her husband, mother-in-law and two daughters had gone to Bhagwati Hospital in their car. Her husband went inside, leaving them in the car.
"A man came and sat on driver's seat of their car, held them hostage at gun point. Pooja somehow managed to came out from the car. Gulshan fled with mother-in-law Shakuntla and two daughters in their car. He dumped Shakuntla and the elder daughter at Sai Baba Chowk.
"He also made ransom call but later the younger daughter was traced at Rithala Metro Station," Additional DCP (Outer) M A Rizvi said.
Police personnel deployed to trace Gulshan spotted him at Sharma Enclave in the car. Police broke the glass of the car and also fired to puncture the tyres but Gulashan managed to escape.
Later police recovered the car at Indra Enclave.

Gulshan however fell in police net last night, Rizvi said.
"He allegedly made a ransom call and demanded Rs 20 lakh for the release of the girl. He had borrowed the phone to made the ransom call. The phone was registered in the name of one Upen Telenga.
"Upen told us that Gulshan convinced him by saying that the girl has lost her way and he wanted to ensure that she reaches her parents," the officer said.
