A drug peddler was arrested here and five gram of heroin was seized from him, police said today.
Satnampura Station House Officer (SHO) Inspector Narinder Singh Aujla identified the peddler as Narinder of Panchwati, Palwal, Haryana.
He was arrested near Maheru colony near Lawgate of the Lovely Professional University, Chaheru yesterday, the SHO said.
On seeing police, the accused tried to run after throwing a packet, but he was caught, he said.
During search, a packet containing five gram of heroin was seized.
A case under relevant sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act was registered against him, he said.
