The single-judge bench of Justice A B Chaudhari heard the arguments of the petitioner and the state government counsel.
"The HC has reserved judgment in the matter," Khaira's counsel Mehtab Khaira told reporters after the court hearing.
During the last hearing, the high court had stayed the non-bailable warrant issued by the Fazilka court against Khaira in a drug case.
In his petition, Khaira has said that an attempt was being made to make him an accused with a purpose to tarnish his reputation.

He stated that when the trial court had already concluded the case and accused had been convicted, how could he be summoned now.
The Fazilka court on October 31 had issued summons to Khaira for November 30 under section 319 of the CrPC (power to proceed against other persons appearing to be guilty of offence) following an application from the prosecution.
The court had sentenced nine persons to imprisonment in a trans-border heroin smuggling racket which had surfaced in 2015.
